Vanilla planifolia is an orchid with a range extending from Mexico to Brazil. Its primary purpose is to generate the essence of vanilla in consumables, thanks to its high vanillin content. Other titles include flat-leaved vanilla and West Indian vanilla. It's sometimes just called "the vanilla".
Sunlight: Direct Sunlight
Water: Water regularly to keep soil moist, allowing soil to dry slightly between watering intervals. Avoid over-watering.
Fertiliser: Keep your plant in top form by feeding it every few weeks with a dilute solution of liquid fertiliser or sprinkling soild fertiliser over the soil.
