Native to Sabah, Borneo, the Alocasia Melo has green, big, thick leaves with a rough texture that give it the appearance of an artificial plant.
Alocasias grow in the shadow of taller vegetation. Despite its big leaves, it should only receive bright, indirect sunlight.
Sunlight: Grows best in bright, filtered light.
Water: Allow the surface of the soil to dry up between watering. Ensure that the Alocasia is placed in well-draining soil.
Fertiliser: Feed it with diluted NPK fertilizer once a month.
