Dragon Heart Lime (龙胆桔, long dan ju) is a variety of festive lime that is highly popular for the Lunar New Year.

The Chinese name of Dragon Heart Lime 龙胆桔 ( long dan ju) means ‘Dragon’s Courage’, making it a popular plant amongst Chinese businessmen. The more fruits it bears, the more luck it brings, as fruits symbolize prosperity. This plant is perfect for businesses looking to gift something unique and auspicious. 

• Sunlight: Direct or Partial sunlight, exposure to strong direct sunlight might cause the fruits to drop at a faster rate.
• Water:  Water when soil is dry to the touch.
• Fertilizer: Do not fertilize when the plant is fruiting.
• Plant size: approx. 30 to 50cm (vary in sizes)
• Rootball size: 22cmØ x 18cmH
• Pot type: The plant comes in a traditional green clay pot with dragon print (with drainage hole)

Light Requirements

All plants depend on light for their survival and making sure your plants get the right amount of light is key to keeping them happy. For both indoor and outdoor containers, group plants with similar light requirements. Don't mix shade lovers with sun lovers in a single pot; one or both of them will be unhappy, depending on where you place the pot.
