Homalomena Wallisii 'Army', also known as the Spearhead Plant or the Jewel Aroid, is a native of Southeast Asia, where it thrives in the warm, humid conditions of tropical rainforests. Its unique foliage, featuring elongated leaves with silvery-white stripes, resembles the camouflaged patterns of an army, hence its name.
Sunlight: Homalomena Wallisii 'Army' prefers bright, indirect light. Avoid placing it in direct sunlight, as this can scorch the delicate leaves and diminish the vibrancy of its markings. While it can tolerate some low-light conditions, the intensity of its leaf variegation may decrease.
Water: Water thoroughly and make sure that the soil is evenly moist. Water your plant whenever the top inch of the soil is dry to the touch.
Allow the top inch of soil to dry out slightly between waterings to prevent overwatering, which can lead to root rot. When watering, thoroughly drench the soil until water runs out of the drainage holes.
Fertiliser: Keep the plant in top form by feeding the plants every few weeks with a dilute solution of liquid fertilizer or solid fertilizer.
